Three Fragrant Flowers

These fragrant flowers will decorate your home and garden. Plant these flowers in your garden or include them in your floral gift. The sweet fragrance of these flowers will take you and your loved ones by surprise.

1. Gardenia

The white gardenia is an exotic flower which is very popular with gardeners. Gardenias are mostly grown from May to July  Their creamy white colour makes them excellent for a wedding, and they symbolise purity and sweetness. Growing gardenia plants might be a bit tricky. They need high humidity to grow well, and while they need a large amount of light to grow, you should avoid placing them under direct sunlight.

2. Oriental Lily

Oriental lilies possess large blooms, and they have become increasingly popular as exotic flowers. They are also widely known for their sweet fragrance. Like Asiatic Lilies, they need about 6-8 hours of direct sunlight and a well-drained soil. Lilies come in an assortment of colours, so they are suitable for all occasions. Given proper care and treatment, the oriental lily will last for about 7-14 days, and their longevity increases the popularity of oriental lilies as gifts.

3. Rose

One of the most popular flower types is the rose. Traditionally associated with love and romance, particularly the red rose, it can make a wonderful floral gift for any occasion, and the different colours of the roses evoke different sentiments. The rose is also well-known for its fragrance, and that is why women like to receive roses on a romantic occasion. Since roses are widespread in flower shops in Malta, most people prefer to avoid the trouble of planting roses themselves, since they are so easy to buy online and locally.
